KYW Newsradio: Chris Rabb wins Democratic primary for Pa.'s 3rd Congressional District seat in US House

KYW lays out the basics: Rabb took roughly 44.7 percent in a field that included State Sen. Sharif Street and Dr. Ala Stanford, winning the first PA-3 primary in 30 years without an incumbent on the ballot. The seat opened when U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans announced he would not seek reelection following a stroke. With no serious Republican opposition in what is by some measures the most Democratic-leaning district in the country, Rabb is heavily favored in November. KYW credits a grassroots coalition: Ocasio-Cortez, who campaigned with him in the final days, the Working Families Party, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Justice Democrats, Philadelphia DSA, One Pennsylvania and Reclaim Philadelphia.
